Bellbird Race Day - Saturday 17th March 2018

The first Bellbird event for 2018 was a wonderful success and we raised over $4,700!

Saturday 17th March - St Patricks' Day 2018 at Gosford Race Club was - a day to remember! Judging by all the green around, many from the Emerald Isle were right there celebrating with us!

On this day we celebrated Ireland's best-known saint and what better way to enjoy the day than at the races, drowning the shamrock with a beer and hoping that some of the luck of the Irish followed our bets!

Wonderful food, fashion, racing and fun! Our Convenor Lorraine and her team did us proud, the tables looked amazing and there were raffles and prizes galore!

Thank you to all who came along to support our fundraising for disadvantaged children on the Central Coast. To the wonderful team at Wyong Rugby Leagues Club who presented us with a HUGE cheque for $10,000!, to Reg Delaney our tireless MC, to Pat Webster our guest speaker and trainer of Happy Clapper and to the magnificent horses who thrilled us in Race 6 - the Bellbird Race. Thank you so much from all of us at the Bellbird Committee.

Bellbird Committee Hats & High Heels - Sunday 22nd October 2017

"Fabulous venue, fashion and food... all the ingredients of a fun afternoon!"

What a great opportunity to get "glammed up" and have a bit of a practice for upcoming Melbourne Cup Lunch dates, in the absolutely stunning surrounds of the Matcham property we were lucky enough to use for the day.

As the ladies arrived looking super stylish in beautiful outfits complemented by wonderful hats and amazing shoes, it was clear this was going to be a really special afternoon. A glass of "bubbles" on arrival set the party scene and everyone relaxed watching the parade of summer fashion from Sea Change at Avoca Beach. Colour, bold prints and cool linen were popular and tempting. Few of us managed to resist!

Watching a fashion parade is hungry, thirsty work and the delicious high tea and glasses of bubbles were thoroughly enjoyed, followed by the judging of the most spectacular hat, shoes and finally the "best dressed" Congratulations Sarndi!

Thank you to our hosts Vicki and Adrian who had worked so hard to make sure their beautiful property looked it's best and everything was picture perfect. Thank you to Gorgina and her helpers who created such a fun filled afternoon and thank you to all the ladies who bought tickets to come along and join us. It was a memorable afternoon!

The generosity of everyone will make a big difference to the lives of many disadvantaged children on the Central Coast.

Bellbird Committee Cavalcade of Fashion - Saturday 16th September 2017

"Well done Bellbirds... a great afternoon"

Thank you for all the wonderful feedback we received from our guests.

Many months of planning and organisation resulted in this hugely successful and major Bellbird fundraiser for 2017.

The venue was the beautifully styled Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza. The professionally staged parade of authentic women's fashions from 1945 - 1975 had us all reminiscing and completely immersed. A delicious afternoon tea and the Bellbird speciality of the most beautiful raffle prizes, completed the enjoyment.

Thank you to the local shops who displayed their beautiful goods outside the Ballroom and to the many generous local businesses who provided the sought after raffle prizes.

This event and all the raffle tickets sold raised a fantastic $12,500!!

The generosity of everyone will make a big difference to the lives of many disadvantaged children on the Central Coast.

Bellbird Committee Music Through the Years - Friday 11th August 2017

"What a great time we all had on Friday night"

"A lovely meal, professional standard entertainment"

"Great value and most enjoyable"

It was a fantastic night at Breakers' Country Club. 150 Bellbirds and their friends enjoyed the music of the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Big Band and Swing, Rock and Folk, Country, Punk Rock and Disco - the music of those years, the music of OUR years was amazing! We all danced, we sang and we relived the fun times of those years.

The meal was delicious, the cupcake table much admired and the prizes were great. The GB Girls Cabaret and the 2 Shay Duo provided wonderful music we all remembered and enjoyed so much!

The evening raised $4,700!

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Bellbird Committee Fundraising.

All money raised will be going to help Disadvantaged Children on the Central Coast.

Hope to see you all at our next events - check out our home page for the other events being held this year.

Bellbird Committee Trivia Night - Friday 19th May 2017

Who needs Wikipedia... Just ask the Bellbird Committee!

A fabulously successful night raising $4,300 for Disadvantaged Children on the Central Coast! Amazing Louise (below centre) has organised this annual fundraising event for 15 years and tickets sell out fast every year. What a huge contribution she has made!

On the night there were 14 tables full of eager people ready to respond to the challenge and (without help of Google or Siri) answer a wide range of questions - What is the everyday supermarket cleaning/oiling product which took the chemist Norm Larsen 40 attempts to achieve success? Don't know?... Ask a Bellbird!

Lots of people left smiling with their beautifully wrapped raffle prizes under their arms.

Glen (Mr Trivia) kept the questions coming thick and fast and the evening moved along at a really fast pace.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Bellbird Fundraising.

Make sure you are there to join this fun night next year!

Bellbird Committee Race Day - Tuesday 11th April 2017

And they're racing!

We had all our fingers crossed and after all the days of rain it was gloriously sunny!

The Bellbird organising committee excelled themselves at the room and table decorations. The "prize table" was laden with tempting goodies waiting for lucky raffle ticket holders and winners of the "Best Dressed" awards.

Reg, our fantastic MC for the afternoon kept everything moving along, had lots of tales to tell and helped make it such a successful afternoon. How interesting to hear one of the female jockeys share her experiences of her racing career with us. The afternoon ended with a "jockey" from each table riding their laundry mop hobby horses home amidst the cheers of their team.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Bellbird Fundraising.

All money raised will be going to helping disadvantaged children on the Central Coast.
